Sunflower Memorial
- Cancer type: Carcinoid
- Diagnosis year: 1980
- Home: Auckland - New Zealand
Ahhhh, <big smile>.
First up, this category should be changed to "How I live with Cancer".
And by "live", I mean being old enough to be a pain in the arse to your
kids, yep, them having to pay for you to live in a retirement village and
the upgrade of your mobility scooter. Ha ha.
To answer the question, I dunno really. It's been 27 good long
years since my first diagnosis and operation....
So
- Remain positive, never let the bastards get you down. There
are only two things that make a bad day in my opinion, 1, not being able
to get your head off the pillow in the morning and 2, the sun not coming
up over the horizon (you don't have to actually see it, it can be
cloudy, just if it doesn't physically come over the horizon!). If
either of those two things happen, then you know it's a bad day,
otherwise it's a bloody good one.
- Having a self (that's you, you know!) and a family (extended as
well) that love you. You have to love them too.
- Eat well
- Juice (beetroot)
- Did I mention being positive yet!
- Drive fast, but don't let your wife catch you. :-O
- Have fun
- Be positive, what can't you do? Nuffin, OK stupid. Ha
ha, I'm lovin this, getting it all out!
Live life.
