How I Survive Cancer

In March 2008 I had had stomach ache for 4 days and so went to the doctor who advised I went to casualty because he suspected appendicitis. The hospital didn't believe it was appendicitis as I had no clinical symptoms however, after going under investigatory surgery my appendix was removed and the doctor told me it was the worst he had ever seen. I was then told me appendix contained a 2cm carcinoid tumor which had also stuck to one of my ovaries and shared the same blood supply as part of my bowel. Consequently I had a right hemi-colectomy and right oopherectomy and lymph glands removed in August. I have since received the all clear and thank God every day for having appendicitis!

How I Fight for a Cure

Supporting charities to fund cancer research so that one day, hopefully very soon, a complete will be found!

My Caring Words of Encouragement

Don't ever, ever give up and appreciate everything you have at the moment!
