I try to put a focus on the following:

• counting my blessings in life rather than pondering the rough bits 
• enjoying every day pleasures 
• living with/in meditation and its consequences 
• learning the cello with a focus on enjoyment rather than performance 
• acting as normally as possible rather than creating an 'aura' of illness 
• remembering to laugh at myself and with my body 
• appreciating those who provide support
