The Caring for Carcinoid Foundation was invited to participate in the 2012 BIO International Convention held Monday, June 18^th to Thursday, June 21^st in Boston, Massachusetts. Our presence at the Patient and Health Advocacy Display was designed to spread awareness of the cancer research we support, as well as to explore how our non-profit foundation can work with biotechnology leaders to further the mission of CFCF. The 2012 BIO International Convention, the world’s largest biotechnology event, was hosted by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO). BIO represents more than 1,100 biotechnology companies, academic institutions, state biotechnology centers and related organizations across the United States and around the world. BIO members are involved in the research and development of innovative healthcare, agricultural, industrial and environmental biotechnology products. The year’s event attracted more than 15,500 attendees from 48 states and 65 countries.
